Background information

The Public Association Research Center for Religious Studies (RCRS) is an independent research center established in 2011 on the basis of the UNESCO Chair of World Culture and Religions of the Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University.

The goal of the project is to create favorable conditions for the use of right to freedom of religion and belief in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Audit Objectives

The audit objective is to conduct audit of the financial statements of the RCRS for 2024 which comprise of the balance sheets as of December 31, 2024, the statements of income and expenses, statements of changes in the accumulated funds, statements of cash flow for the year then ended, and notes to the financial statements, including a summary of significant accounting policies.

Audit Scope and output

The audit shall be conducted in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).

The financial statements have to be prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and interpretations of Standing Interpretations Committee of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).

The auditor shall obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s reports that include opinion for each audited institution.

The auditor shall issue a management letter containing significant audit observations and recommendations if any.

The auditor shall also provide the standard “reporting pack” requested by Stefanus Alliance International and/or its auditor.

Quality of audit staff

RCRS is very particular about the quality of staff sent for its audits and therefore would prefer staff with appropriate qualifications and experience.

Audit timing

The audit of the RCRS is expected to take place around 1^st of February 2025; all field works must be completed by the field audit staff before leaving our offices.

The finalized signed audit statements and the corresponding “reporting pack” are expected latest by the 15th of March 2025.
